Air Quality Index (AQI)

Fine Particulate Matter (PM2,5)
Terrebonne - parc Vaillant sector
March 2, 2024, 08:00 PM

The health of the general public should not be significantly affected. More vulnerable individuals, however, such as children, the elderly and people with respiratory or heart ailments may be affected and should reduce outdoor physical activity. For information on specific health issues, contact the Info-Santé service of your local CLSC community service centre.

In winter, local emission sources, particularly residential wood burning and transportation, immediately affect the quality of air we breathe. Whether living in an urban or rural community, each of us must contribute daily to improving air quality by avoiding use of a fireplace or woodstove, unless it is the only source of heat. Use environmentally friendly modes of transportation (walking, subway, bus, train, carpool). If you have to use an automobile, do not let the engine idle unnecessarily.
